House In-Store Terms and Conditions
What These Terms Cover. These are the terms and conditions on which we supply products (“Products”) to the Customer (“you”).
Why You Should Read Them. Please read these terms carefully before you submit your order to us. These terms tell you who we are, how we will provide products to you, how you and we may change or end the contract, what to do if there is a problem and other important information.
Who We Are. We are Global Retail Brands UK Limited ("we" "us" “our”) a company registered office in England and Wales. Our registered office is at C/O Pkf Littlejohn 2nd Floor, 1 Westferry Circus, Canary Wharf, London, United Kingdom, E14 4HD, our company registration number is 10642380 and our VAT number is 282 2904 01.
Our Terms and Conditions. Please read the T&Cs carefully before purchasing any products in-store (“Order”). We recommend you should keep a copy of the T&Cs for future reference. We may modify the T&Cs at any time. We cannot confirm the price of a Product until your Order is accepted in accordance with our Order acceptance policy (described below).
Acceptance of Your Order
How You Place Orders. You may place an Order by purchasing Products at our tills in-store. By placing an Order, you make an offer to us to purchase the Products you have selected for personal use or consumption based on these T&Cs. Information contained in-store constitutes an ‘invitation to treat’. No information in-store constitutes or should be deemed as an offer by us to supply any Products; however, we will make every effort to supply Products to you.
Order Acceptance. We will confirm acceptance of your Order and shall become a binding contract when payment is taken at our tills in-store.
Payment Methods and Processing
Payment Methods. We currently accept PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, Maestro/Switch and AMEX. We process payments after payment is taken. Payments will be debited and cleared from your account upon placing your Order. By making a payment you confirm that the credit/debit card that is being used is yours or that you have been specifically authorised by the owner of the credit/debit card to use it. All credit/debit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer.
Coupons and Discounts. Any coupon codes, for example free shipping or discount offers, are valid at the time of Order placement only and must be presented at the point of purchase. Coupon offers will not be valid or honoured on Orders successfully placed without using the relevant or correct code.
Pricing and Stock availability
Where to find the price for the Product. The price of the Product (which includes VAT) will be the price indicated on the Products when you placed your Order. We use our best efforts to ensure that the price of the Product advised to you is correct. We always seek to list Products with the most competitive prices.
What happens if we got the price wrong. It is always possible that, despite our best efforts, some of the Products we sell may be incorrectly priced. We will normally check prices before accepting your Order so that, where the Product's correct price at your Order date is less than our stated price at your Order date, we will charge the lower amount.
- The promotions and sales prices that are offered on the Site are available online only. They may not correspond to those in a House store. House stores may operate other promotions and sales concurrently.
- We reserve the right to extend or withdraw a promotional or sale offer at any time without notice.
Age Restricted Products
Some of our Products are restricted to persons over a certain age in accordance with UK law. We are not permitted to supply such Products to persons who do not meet the minimum age required. If you are underage, you must not attempt to purchase these Products in-store. Under the Criminal Justice Act 1988 (as amended) knives and blades may only be sold to persons over 18. ID will be required to purchase in store or receive delivery of such Products. Acceptable ID includes a photographic driving licence, passport or cards with the PASS logo. We operate a ‘Think 21 policy. Please do not be offended if we think you look under 21 and ask for proof of age when you buy an age restricted Product.
Returns Policy (In-store)
Change of Mind Policy
We will not provide refunds on Products purchased at a House store if you simply change your mind. However, we will provide an exchange or in-store credit note on the following terms:
- Products must be presented within 30 days of the purchase date with a House register receipt as proof of purchase.
- Products must be unused, in the original undamaged packaging with all labels and stickers still attached, in the merchandisable condition you purchased them in.
- The credit value will be the price paid at the time of the original purchase as shown on the register receipt.
Please note that:
- If you cannot produce a House register receipt as proof of purchase, we cannot accept a return.
- Please present your House register receipt (or a copy or photo of it). We may also accept your credit card or bank statement (provided it clearly identifies the value of the Product) showing the date and amount of purchase.
- Products purchased online cannot be returned in store.
Our decision to provide an exchange or in-store credit note in accordance with the conditions set out above will be determined in our absolute discretion. This Change of Mind Policy is in addition to your statutory rights.
You are entitled to the benefit of statutory rights in respect of Products purchased from House stores.
Goods with manufacturer’s warranty
Many of our Products come with a guarantee or warranty from the manufacturer. If they do, they are in addition to consumer guarantees and cannot be excluded.
When returning Products in accordance with the House Returns Policy, you may choose to return them to any House store. If you cannot return the Products to a House store, please contact our Customer Service Team at email@example.com for other options.
Goods purchased from the House website
Please refer to the House Online Terms and Conditions as above for details about returning Products purchased online. Products purchased online may only be returned to the online store.
When you own goods. You own a Product which is goods once we have received payment in full.
Summary of your key legal rights
This is a summary of your key legal rights. These are subject to certain exceptions. For detailed information please visit the Citizens Advice website www.adviceguide.org.uk or call 03454 04 05 06.
The Consumer Rights Act 2015 says Products must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. During the expected lifespan of your Product your legal rights entitle you to the following:
- Up to 30 days: if your goods are faulty, then you can get an immediate refund.
- Up to six months: if your goods can't be repaired or replaced, then you're entitled to a full refund, in most cases.
- Up to six years: if your goods do not last a reasonable length of time you may be entitled to some money back.
Nothing in these T&C’s excludes the application of your statutory rights.
Product Fault. If a Product has a fault, we will provide a replacement, repair or a refund at your discretion.
Damaged Products. If Products are damaged or inoperable or develop a fault within the first 30 days visit us in-store or email our Customer Service Team firstname.lastname@example.org within 30 days of purchase and provide a full detailed description of the problem with supporting photographic evidence as well.
Depending on the problem our Customer Service team will determine how best to resolve your problem with minimum inconvenience to you.
If a Product is replaced, your replacement Product becomes your property and the returned Product becomes our property. When a refund is given, the returned Product becomes our property.
Where we agree to replace a Product:
- Your statutory rights but no additional guarantees (change of mind etc) apply to all replacement products.
- In the event of a Product no longer being available we will offer an alternative Product of similar quality.
- In the event of an individual item within a set being faulty, we will replace the specific item and not the entire set.
Goods with Manufacturer’s warranty - Refund/Replacement policy
Many of our Products come with a guarantee or warranty from the manufacturer. Please refer to the warranty terms and conditions on or in the packaging, however nothing in those warranty terms and conditions excludes the application of your statutory rights or our change of mind guarantee.
Assignment. You may not assign any rights and obligations under these T&C’s whether in whole or in part without the prior written consent of us. Any unauthorised assignment shall be deemed null and void.
Variation. We reserve the right to change the T&C’s at any time. The T&C’s applicable to you are those on our Site at the time you Order a Product. No House employee or agent has the authority to vary any of the T&C’s governing any sale.
You acknowledge that if you breach the T&C's and we take no action against you, we do not waive our right to take action should you commit the same breach again or any other breach of the T&C's. Our actions in not pursuing our rights in respect of any breach will not be construed as varying the T&C's in any way.
You acknowledge and agree that the T&C's together with all our policies and procedures will be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales, and the relevant courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction.
Reading down & severability, inconsistency
If any portion of these T&C's is or becomes contrary to any English law, that portion will be read down to the extent necessary for the portion to retain valid operation or if it cannot be read down, will be severed from the T&C's and the rest of the T&C's will not be affected by the severance. If any portion of these T&C's is inconsistent with any other policies or terms constituting these T&C's, then these T&C's will prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.
